Introduction#
I have had this powerbank for over 12 months and it is still going strong!
The CUKTECH 15 Air PB150S Power Bank has two USB-C ports, one USB-A port, a rotatable colour display, and a button to control it. It is relatively thin with a LiPo battery and it can be fast charged and discharged.
I bought this powerbank while visiting China in September 2025 because:
- It is thin and fits in my pocket with my phone.
- It quickly charges my phone.
- It can be charged quickly.
- It has the CCC mark.
Before buying the CUKTECH 15 Air, I bought a Xiaomi wireless powerbank. I wanted to like it. It was small, compact, and it magnetically stuck to my phone. But it was too slow and it made my phone get too warm.
I considered getting another compact powerbank with a built-in USB-C cable. But the risk of the cable breaking due to wear and tear was too big for me to take the chance. I wanted something that will last for years.
I ended up buying the CUKTECH 15 Air and a 0.15m CUKTECH 6A cable (it already comes with a 0.35 metre cable but I wanted something even shorter).
The first USB-C port supports fast charging (100W input) and discharging (90W output).
The second USB-C port and the USB-A port are output only.
You can get 100W output by using both USB-C ports at the same time: OUT1 11V/6.1A, OUT2 11V/3A.
The powerbank has a conversion efficiency of 75.4% at 5V/3A.
Battery pack: 11.55 V * 5.05 Ah = 58.32 Wh total energy.
USB output: 5 V * 8,800 mAh = 44 Wh usable energy.
Conversion efficiency: 44 Wh / 58.32 Wh = 75.4%
The back of the powerbank mentions an Output Capacity of 8,800mAh (5V/3A).
The typical energy is 57.75 Wh (11.55V*5000mAh), as noted on the powerbank, the box and the user manual. This is useful for airlines. It has a 3C mark for flying within China.
Packaging#
The CUKTECH 15 Air comes in a fancy box with an image of the powerbank on the front and specifications on the back.
The following was included in the box:
- CUKTECH PB150S.
- USB-C to USB-C 6A cable.
- User manual.
User Manual#
Powerbank in use#
For the past 12 months, I have been carrying this powerbank in my backpack to work each week to keep my phone charged. It is compact enough to easily fit in a pocket in my backpack. I can run a short USB-C to USB-C cable from one pocket to another where my phone is stored.
The powerbank usually has more than 50% of the capacity remaining by the time I get home.
I have got into the routine of taking the powerbank out when I get home and plugging it in to a charger so that it is ready for the next day.
The CUKTECH 15 Air has helped me provide a bit of juice to a laptop during a power outage.
It can fit in my pocket with my phone but I try to avoid charging my phone in this situation because I do not want to bend the USB-C cable too much. It seems safer to charge in a backpack where the pockets are organised and the cable is not under as much pressure. It is also slightly cooler compared to being pressed against my leg in my pants.
Two USB-C ports can be used for input and output, while the USB-A port is for output only.
The powerbank can tailstand.
There are lot of details in small writing on the back of the powerbank.
Cable#
A CUKTECH branded 0.35m USB-C to USB-C 6A cable with an e-marker chip is included.
My ChargerLAB Power-Z KM003C Amazon Australia USB Meter detected the following:
| Feature | Details |
|---|---|
| Vendor | Zimi (0x2b01) |
| Type | Passive |
| Speed | USB 2.0 only |
| Supply | 50V 5A (240W EPR) |
| Latency | ~2m, 10ns to 20ns |
The USB-C plug has 12 pins populated instead of 24.

User interface#
The powerbank is controlled by a single button on the side.
The screen can be rotated 180 degrees by pressing and holding the button.
The first screen shows:
- Percentage of cell capacity
- Low Current Discharge Mode (lightning bolt symbol)
- Charge/Discharge Status (C1 IN/OUT, C2 IN/OUT, A OUT)
- Charge/Discharge Time Remaining
- Power (W)
Low Current Discharge Mode can be toggled on and off by double pressing the button.
The lightning bolt symbol indicates that Low Current Discharge Mode is on.
The button can be pressed to take you to the second screen where the voltage and current (A) are displayed for each port.
Pressing the button again will take you to the third screen where the Type-C1 port can be configured to be for INPUT/OUTPUT, INPUT Only or OUTPUT Only. This is a great feature for situations where you want to charge another device but that device is unable to figure out whether it wants to also be a powerbank or be charged.
At the “KEEP SCREEN ON” menu, the button can be long pressed for two seconds to toggle between “YES” and “NO”.
The button can be pressed again briefly to confirm.
The percentage of cell capacity will be red if it is less than or equal to 10%.
Here is an overview of how to use the button:
